Fresh vegetables and herbs will be just steps from your front door! When you live in a Cornerstone Homes community, it is so easy to focus on a healthier and happier lifestyle.  Our homeowners are anxiously awaiting the first crops of the Corner Patch Gardens and the popular monthly Garden Cooking and Tasting Demos, led by our own personal garden manager and chef, Sean!  It’s the most delicious time of the year. If you enjoy gardening, fresh produce, tasty recipes, and connecting with your neighbors, you’ll love hanging out with us as we kick off and celebrate the first few weeks of one of Cornerstone Homes’ most popular amenities. 

Our opening theme is just as blue-tiful as it is delicious: everything blueberry! You won’t want to miss a scrumptious drop of these sweet, delectable treats, along with other delights, at the first seasonal opener. Join us for lively conversation, meet new friends, enjoy new recipes fresh from the garden, and see what life is like in a Cornerstone 55+ living community.  Event dates listed below. Here is what Sean will prepare right in front of your eyes at the first garden party:

Opening  Menu

Small Plate: “Roots and Blues” is made up of rutabaga, carrots, and blueberry shredded salad. 

Dip: Dunk your favorite finger foods into our sweet and crunchy blueberry dip.

Main Dish — Salad: Gear up for the main meal with a unique and flavorful salad, which includes blueberries, carrots, walnuts, fresh greens, and a to-die-for blueberry vinaigrette.

Main Dish — Entree: Fall in love with the deliciousness of our mini blueberry paninis with mozzarella, vinaigrette, basil, and arugula.

Flavored Water: Wash everything down the right way with blueberry basil water.

The Corner Patch Gardens are the best places to relax, unwind, meet up with friends, and even take some time to yourself to enjoy simple tranquility. We hope that the fun you have at our Corner Patch Gardens inspires you to create one of your own, whether on your covered porch or in your outdoor courtyard (or both!) Gardening is not only a great source of exercise, it inspires a healthy diet, allows you to meet new people, and best of all, promotes mental wellbeing.
