Virginia Garden Week is Around the Corner!
Springtime in Virginia is really special. I’ve lived in many places and traveled the world and there is really no place prettier than spring in Virginia. Dogwoods, azaleas, redbuds, flowering bulbs, you can catch flowering blooms peeking out around every corner. As you begin to enjoy all of your favorite outdoor activities in your Cornerstone Homes community, from taking a stroll on a walking trail to visiting your favorite Corner Patch Garden, make sure to check out at least one of Virginia’s greatest seasonal events.
From April 27 to May 4, Virginia Garden Week invites visitors to marvel at the state’s most beautiful houses and gardens at the peak of Virginia’s springtime color. The House & Garden Tours take you through “250 of Virginia's most beautiful gardens, homes, and historic landmarks.” Many stops on the tours are conveniently located near our Cornerstone communities in Chester, Chesterfield, Hanover, Fredericksburg. What better time to stop and smell the roses?
This 8-day event is sure to awaken your spring senses and get you inspired for a new season of gorgeous floral decor in and around your own home. The homes you’ll see along these tours are decorated with over 2,300 gorgeous flowers arranged by members of the Garden Club of Virginia and trust us, they don’t disappoint.
Best of all, proceeds from the tours go toward the preservation of over 40 of Virginia’s public gardens and landscapes, a project with Virginia State Parks, and more. Grab your neighbors and put the petal to the metal…and head out! The most beautiful flowers in the state await!
