The holidays are many peoples' favorite time of year, but there's something so special about being able to gather with neighbors who have become friends and enjoy social events all season long. All of Cornerstone Homes' 55+ communities throughout Greater Virginia host holiday socials for their residents. From cookie exchanges to festive happy hours, there's always an opportunity to meet neighbors and spread (and receive!) some holiday cheer. Here are a few of the events happening at our communities this holiday season!

• Thanksgiving Soup & Salad - Homeowners gather in the Clubhouse to enjoy homemade soups and salads made by neighbors.

• Holiday Happy Hour - Residents meet in The Lodge to mix, mingle, and kick off the holiday season.
• Christmas Cookie Exchange - Residents bake their best holiday cookies and swap them with neighbor-friends.
• Clubhouse Holiday Decorating - It's a party... an all-hands-on-deck decorating party! Residents enjoy festive drinks and snacks while transforming The Lodge into a winter wonderland. (Photo credit: Peggy Moseley)

• Home Decorating Competition - Residents compete for the most festive outdoor holiday decorations. Residents will vote for their favorite holiday set up and the winner will receive a $25 gift card. If participating, the deadline to partake is December 9th.
