Happy Employees - A Real Culture of Health and Happiness
Cornerstone Homes not only builds communities with a focus on health and happiness, but also creates a unique work culture for its employees with a focus on happiness, health and smiles. We spend a lot of hours in the day at work so being around happy co-workers and customers is vital. Eight hours a day may seem minimal, but think about this… within your lifetime, you’ll spend roughly 90,000 hours at work. And, let’s face it, life is too short to spend at a job that doesn’t make you smile!!
Every employee at Cornerstone Homes has an opportunity to interact directly with the home buyers throughout the entire home buying process, move-in, and beyond. “It is really an honor and very rewarding to build these relationships with our buyers and be part of this exciting new chapter in their lives. It’s great to watch new friendships being formed in each of our new, growing communities,” said Greg Smith, Sales Manager at Chickahominy Falls.
The very nature of building a home from the ground up means each stage of building is interrelated with the next. Similarly, every employee’s job at Cornerstone Homes is intertwined with each other. “We motivate each other, and build relationships that create trust and open communication, said Victoria Mallory, Purchasing Agent at the Corporate Office. “We have a close-knit group of people who have created a culture of accountability and who are not afraid of making decisions for the good of the team and our homeowners. Working in concert with each other is paramount”
A tremendous amount of work goes into building a new home. Everyone at Cornerstone puts in 110 percent. And with hard work also comes good, old fashioned fun play. Top management at Cornerstone makes sure everyone gets out of the office and enjoys some team building events, happy hours, therapeutic voluntary work on the farm, competitive games of axe throwing, cornhole and more. We work hard but we like to play together too!!!
At Cornerstone Homes, we love building face-to-face relationships just as much as we love building homes. And we admit to wearing our hearts on our sleeves. Just like a badge of honor that we don proudly every day and in everything. We know we have a big job to do. Designing homes and communities where people are most comfortable. And comforted in a way only home can do. Because between the walls we build, there is a heart behind them. From prospects and buyers to homeowners and our very own employees, one thing’s for sure. We always care and our hearts are always happy. Here's a glimpse of why Cornerstone cares……
Working for a company that is best in its field like Cornerstone Homes, the experts in active adult living, makes it easy to see that our work contributes to making life better for homeowners choosing to live in a Cornerstone Homes community. It creates a strong sense that what they do is important and meaningful. Happy employees and happy homeowners! That's Us! Keep Smiling!
