It is always amazing to watch a community grow together and, in a Cornerstone Active Adult community there is such a strong sense of community spirit you can almost taste it. In good times and not so good times, these homeowners know the true meaning of what neighbors helping neighbors mean AND they also know how to keep life fun!  

This holiday season is no exception.   Every Cornerstone community, as well as the staff at Cornerstone, has committed to making the holidays better this year for children with cancer and children in need. Giving back comes naturally for these folks.  The Cornerstone Corporate Office and our communities in The Cove, The Villas at Magnolia Lakes, and Chickahominy Falls have partnered with the ASK Childhood Cancer Foundation, to support children with cancer and their families.   

In Barley Woods in Fredericksburg, the homeowners have partnered with the Fredericksburg Department of Social Services to provide assistance to children from needy families in the area for the holidays through the "Gifts from the Heart" assistance program. 

Giving back has been woven into the fabric of our society. We give because it’s the right thing to do.

And speaking of fun, take a stroll along the tree-lined, lit sidewalks you will see another spirit – the spirit of the holiday season.   Enhancing the already beautiful streetscapes are decorations that will make you smile and make you feel the welcoming vibe that is so prominent in our communities.  

Cornerstone communities are special.  There is no doubt about that.  But it is because of the special people that choose to live here that really make the community special.  At the start of every community, Cornerstone makes sure neighbors connect, through social gatherings before they move in, to building amenities that foster connection.
