Last month, our new Barley Woods community took its first steps toward becoming Fredericksburg’s first boutique 55+ community as we officially broke ground and kicked off construction of the homes and the community clubhouse.
“We’ve put a lot of sweat and hard work into laying the ground work to ensure this will be a special place to live,” said Roger Glover, owner of Cornerstone Homes. “We’re thrilled to already have 12 homebuyers at Barley Woods, and we’re excited to begin construction.”
“We made the commitment to invest in the major amenities upfront so that our earliest homebuyers will have places to gather and socialize from day one,” added Glover.
The Clubhouse at Barley Woods will be the social hub of the community, so get ready for some fun! Along with indoor and outdoor gathering spaces designed for year-round enjoyment, it will feature an outdoor pool, fitness center, the BW Pub, and entertaining areas. There will also be a fire pit, an outdoor bar & grilling area, & pocket gardens.
Barley Woods also has something that you won’t find anywhere else – Boxwell Glade Park, a section of preserved land with creek-side walking & exercise trails, a dog park & an orchard. Residents will have the luxury of enjoying peaceful walks through the woods, wandering through the orchard, and listening to the melody of the creek.
“Another unique amenity at Barley Woods is the Corner Patch Garden,” said Wanda Cook, sales manager at Barley Woods. “Cornerstone is introducing a ‘hands on’ learning experience where homeowners can develop skills growing different varieties of vegetables, fruits, and flowers.”
Homebuyers at Barley Woods enjoy a wide range of home choices with seven different home designs in both attached and detached configurations. The floor plans can be tailored to fit your lifestyle with flex spaces, and unique options. This is truly a no-maintenance community so get ready to enjoy your freedom from outside home and yard maintenance!!!
The Barley Woods Sales Office is open Monday through Saturday from 10 – 5, and Sunday from 1 – 5. For more information, contact Wanda Cook at 540-699-3009.
