Plowing Ahead with New Homes for YOU
Peace of Mind Living in a Cornerstone Home Community
Plowing ahead, yes we are! Over the last month over 20 new happy homeowners have moved into a Cornerstone Community. Social distancing rules absolutely apply here, but that has not stopped our new homeowners from feeling welcomed and instantly partaking in creative ways of having fun with their new neighbors. For example, recently at Chickahominy Falls, Cornerstone’s agri-community located in Hanover County, homeowners rocked on (from a safe social distance by staying in their driveways) as a Chevy truck rolled down the street with a musical guest singing and playing guitar! And for now, Driveway happy hours will continue until they can return to the Clubhouse and Pool!
What is also continuing are the sights and sounds of construction! Of course, we are doing everything differently now, taking precautions for our own health and safety and that of all our workers building your new home.
“We have implemented changes on all Cornerstone construction sites that include limiting the number of crew members in a home allowing for social distancing, precautions for hand washing, masks, and other measures and making every attempt to keep ahead of schedules so that our buyers can move in on time,” says Ken Moody, Construction Manager for Cornerstone Homes. “Every day we face new challenges that no one has ever faced before in construction. One unintended good consequence is that this has caused an increase in communication between homeowners, suppliers and contractors. It’s business as usual but just a new way of doing business. With some increases in lead times for materials, every one down the supply chain is working together to make schedules work. It’s a totally new kind of relationship and there is definitely a general consensus that we are all in this together.”
“Foot traffic to the sales offices and model homes has slowed to the more serious buyers who want to take advantage of the historically low interest rates,” said Kirsten Nease, Director of Marketing, but online traffic and FaceTime personalized tours are up. “The active adult buyers are realizing now, more than ever, they want to living in a close-knit community where neighbors look out after each other.”
Now is the time to keep moving forward with your next chapter. Click here to make a private appointment or talk with a Sales Manager to set up your private FaceTime tour in a safe and secure environment. Our Team is committed to making this the best move of your life. We look forward to hearing from you soon!
