The magic of the holidays has descended on Chickahominy Falls. Last week at the Grand Illumination event, neighborhood friends and families gathered to ring in the best and brightest of the season. Natural wreaths adorned with pinecones, berries and buffalo plaid ribbons are now donning doors and farm fences, with the smell of evergreen permeating every corner. Hot cups of cider and the sweetest Christmas cut-outs for kids of all ages. A visit from the jolliest elf and the grand illumination of the heart and soul of Chickahominy Falls. The Barn is now all dressed up for the holidays.

With the holidays officially kicked-off, there are plenty of festive fun in and around Ashland to keep your season merry & bright.

Throughout December, Downtown Ashland is transformed into a vintage Christmas village with twinkling white lights and holiday greenery. On December 21, carolers in vintage garb will help set the scene. Join a sing-along at Ashland Town Hall beginning at 5pm, or see the group strolling downtown streets while singing in four-part harmony. Scheduled stops at Henry Clay Inn and Red Vein Escape! It’s all part of Light Up The Tracks in Downtown Ashland.

Make room for holiday fun at Nearby James River Cellars. From seasonal tastings, to cookie decorating, a holiday monogram paint party and even a tacky sweater happy hour. The calendar is sprinkled with good cheer all month long.

Buy tickets to the Radio City Christmas Spectacular or ice skating in Bryant Park. Relax and see the sites of Central Park from a horse drawn carriage.
