It's that time of year again, when little ghosts and goblins come out to play and beg to go to every pumpkin patch and fall festival this side of the James River. We say, go ahead and indulge them! While you’re at it, find a few great fall events for you, too. In Richmond, Fredericksburg, and Smithfield there are no shortage of family-friendly Halloween celebrations that are convenient to get to from your Cornerstone community. Fall Festival at Chickahominy Falls and Woodside Farms – October 30, 2021

Around here a little dust on your boots indicates the telltale sign of a good day.  At the Fall Fest, that dust opens the door to fun, friends and family. Screening of Halloween (1978) - October 27, 2021

If you remember the year the original Halloween came out, you can relive this historic pop culture moment by seeing it again on the big screen at the Byrd Theatre! Leave the grandkids with their parents for this one. 

Contactless Trunk or Treat - October 28, 2021

Boulevard Flower Gardens South | 2120 Ruffin Mill Road | Chesterfield

Come browse 20+ decorated trunks full of not-too-spooky treats in this fun, safe, and socially distanced event. Costumed trick-or-treaters can walk alongside the trunks in the garden center and collect a candy tote and small pumpkin at the end. Come participate either as a trucker or a treater!

UTurn Fall Festival - October 30, 2021

This family-friendly festival features bounce houses, games, food, a caricature artist, giveaways, plus an outdoor trunk-or-treat event where kids will receive a pre-packaged bag filled with candy. 

Haunted History at Tuckahoe - October 30, 2021

Tuckahoe Plantation | 12601 River Rd. | Richmond

If you want to visit an actual haunted house, come tour the mansion and grounds of Tuckahoe, where there have been sightings of a resident ghost and headless horseman. The whole family will enjoy a hayride, moon bounce, spider web maze, scavenger hunt, and more.

Free Halloween Kids Paint Party  - October 31, 2021

Hobson Lodge | 801 Prince Hall Drive | Richmond

If trick-or-treating isn't your thing, dress the grandkids up as their favorite characters and let them paint their hearts out at this safe and kid-friendly art event. There will be a professional artist on hand to give painting tips, as well as food, treats, and even a kid DJ!

Screening of Monsters, Inc - October 29, 2021

It's a free family movie night in the park! Bring your own chairs and blankets to enjoy a kids' favorite in the open air. A food truck will be on hand so that you don't have to think about dinner.

The St. James Halloween Spectacular - October 30, 2021
