It’s game night!

In the loft, the Madisons love celebrating game night with their family. Tonight’s selected games include Pictionary and Charades, though Apples to Apples was a close pick. It’s a battle of the ages as the Madisons, their children, and their grandkids pair up for a few rounds of each game with the ultimate team trophy on the line. Grandpa Madison draws a card requiring him to do a funny dance having everyone laughing until their sides hurt. Even more laughs are had when their grandson tries his best to draw a rooster crowing on the top of a barn. Unfortunately, he and his sister lost that round, but there’s still plenty of fun to be had. Next week is board games where everyone jumps in excitement each time they get in the lead. While game nights can get competitive at the Madisons’ home, enjoying each other's company is the real win!

What’s cookin’ in the kitchen?

It’s a beautiful Sunday morning at the Madisons’ and the grandkids are over for a delicious breakfast feast. The aromas of delectable dishes waft through the air in their spacious cook’s kitchen. Everything is made fresh with goodies sourced from their local farmer’s market, so you know it’s going to taste amazing. Luckily, the grandkids are not as picky as they used to be, but the family is keeping the menu classic. Fluffy pancakes with a choice of strawberries or blueberries (or both!), scrambled eggs, biscuits and sausage gravy, and freshly squeezed orange juice. Yum! The Madisons' kitchen is a testament to their love for nurturing and nourishing those around them.

Time for a movie marathon!

As an adventurous woman with grown children, Laurel loves getting together with her kids and a few friends for movie marathons in the upstairs loft. They plan out a couple of genre options for each time they get together, and tonight is a rom-com night (one of their favorites). The loft has been turned into the ultimate home movie theater with fuzzy blankets, hot buttery popcorn, and a mix of candies. The top candy choices tonight are Reese’s Pieces, Twizzlers, and Laurel’s go-to, Sour Patch Kids. The movie picks tonight include classics like Clueless, Pretty Woman, and When Harry Met Sally. Laurel loves watching anything as long as she’s with them! They’re all cozied up and ready for the first movie to start. It’s time for a lot of laughs, tears, and “awwws”. (Can someone pass the tissues?)

Kitchens are for more than cooking!

Laurel’s family loves coming to visit for her nostalgic home cooking and fun energy, but sometimes the kitchen isn’t always for her classic recipes. Every now and then she likes to whip up a gourmet meal or hors d'oeuvres to serve her guests at lively gatherings. And her entertainer’s kitchen is the perfect place! After her recent visits to the local vineyards and distilleries, she’s decided to host a cocktail party with her closest friends. The large island provides a prepping station for the charcuterie board, brie and bacon-plum jam on crackers, and cocktail supplies before they settle at the dining table. Laurel has everyone laughing, as usual, with one of her incredible stories. The heart of the home continues to fill with shared stories among friends over savory treats and creative cocktails.
